“Delicious! I had the basil fried rice with chicken and their chicken egg roll. The basil fried rice has green beans, yellow peppers, and onions with fresh cucumbers on the side. The cooked veggies had a nice crunch to it that complimented the rice and chicken well. The person I was with had the curry fried rice and he enjoyed the food too. We came on a Friday around 4:30 PM and we were the only ones there. The food was really good and the place is clean. I’d definitely come again.”

We ordered the Cape shark taco platter, pretzel with beer cheese, Spicy cauliflower wings, and a side of waffle fries. Our food arrived hot and timely. Everything exceeded our expectations. Plenty of adult drink options available. Bar and grill type environment with table and bar seating. Small slot machine gaming area. Nice patio area with plenty of seating. “This is our family’s new favorite place for fresh, authentic, and the best value sushi and Japanese food in the NW suburbs. My wife is Japanese so she is super picky about Japanese food however even she likes it. For Valentine’s Day we got a massive sushi mixed platter for four and an order of really tasty Japanese style fried chicken. We don’t like cream cheese style sushi so they substituted all those with avocado and cucumber at no extra charge. The total was only $64 and it was so much we eat it for two meals. What a great deal for sushi! This place is very well known and liked in the large Japanese local Japanese community. It is easy to miss tucked away in the corner of the mall that has Goodwill by Lowell’s. There is no large sign on the building, only in the window (see pictures) We will be back to try the Poke soon!”

We instead decided to look for a nearby restaurant and Rio Tacos appeared on the search among others. She had the carne asada plate and I had a taco dinner. “What a fantastic place. It was such a surprise finding this gem. We stopped by with my son to get some food and the place blew our minds. It is very original and fun. There are so many things to look at. It has hundreds of different cameras on display and there are very interesting pictures on the walls of sport stars and local sport teams. The place was super clean and friendly. We did wait a bit for our food but we were kept busy by the many interesting things all around. The food was great. I love a good hot dog and my son also enjoyed his burger. We came back again few weeks later. Highly recommend it for good American food.”
