Swiss Heritage Village & Museum

We arrived on a bitterly cold day to find a notice saying it was shut because of the weather. On trying the door, it was opened and we were met by Ernie, the executive director. On learning that we were not local he immediately offered to give us a tour of both the buildings and the museum. He was informative and generous with his time. The buildings were interesting, offering a look back in time - social history not only of the community but also of an era. We will definitely return.

Kiddo had a field trip yesterday and even spending 9-2 there we only did half of what they had to offer! Seeing all the old history, being able to do the interactions, hearing all about how life was lived so long ago.... highly recommend stopping by either the festival or the guided tours. We want to go back and see if we can get to do all the stuff we didn't get to before. For sure going to attend next year as well!

Wonderful hidden gem! I took My 11 y/o daughter, and we had a great time. Our tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable! The ladies in the museum were terrific! A neat piece of local history. I highly recommend!

Worth making the time to go take a tour. This is a guided tour and is very educational. We were checking it out specifically due to the Swiss ancestors we have and to learn more of their culture. Amazing buildings to tour.

The experience here was amazing and comes very highly recommended!! We had two different ladies showing us around the property & were a wealth of knowledge of daily life of the Swiss immigrants to the area. All of the artifacts, buildings and indoor museum were all very well-kept and each w/unique historical facts. Don’t miss this!
