“This school district is one of the best in Indiana. Teachers are smart and respectful; counselors actually care about your academic success and well-being. Principals are fun and easy-going meanwhile still being tough on safety and rules. The buildings are well-cared for by the nicest custodial staff. My grade: A+”

“Reading the reviews, I guess I realize everyone has different experiences. I get some of the negative comments. I am sorry to read them but get how they could be true for those families. I would rank the school as 5 stars. My fourth and youngest child to attend St.E's is now a 5th grader so I have some experience with the school. 26 academic years? 95 percent of those experiences have been positive. My Purdue graduate attributes her solid study skills and academic success to the foundation she received at this school. When she attended Homestead she felt she had a leg up on her peers and to this day still speaks highly of Saint E's. Even now in her profession, she loves to learn and continues to study up on subject matter important to her career. My second child asked to transfer to Summit after 6th grade when he realized he would be going to Homestead and not Luers. He has done well, but I think he regrets that decision. He is still best friends with his grade school buddies and is doing well at Purdue. My 3rd student experienced some of the same negatives seen in some of the lower reviews. She often felt her class had been marked as an unruly group and felt they were openly scorned as such by her teachers. On the other hand, if you asked her, she would say she was glad she attended the school and like my son, most of her closest friends are her grade school friends. She is high honors at Homestead and doing well. My youngest complains a lot about how hard the teachers are on their students. When he explains, I often have to laugh. The teachers are tough. If you dont do your homework or dont perform at your potential, you will hear about it. In today's world, I think kids dont know how to handle that. My preference would be to bring back a smack to the palm of your hands and have less verbal lashings, but that is the world we live in. The school does have high expectations. I think that is a good thing. The faith instruction is solid and built in to the entire school day. They live what they preach. It's not just a religion class and then return to the real world. The faith is a part of the day. And last but not least, one of the best things about the school after academics is the athletic program. None of my kids are blessed with outstanding athletic abilities, but all were (and are) involved with sports at St. E's. Had they attended a SWACS school, they for sure would have been less involved and may not have the love for sports and fitness they have today. Lots of fun. My kids are not rich kids. They were not the most popular, but they did fit in. I dont think any of them were favorites of their teachers, but they were loved. 5 stars”

“Very friendly parish. Large commons area is great for welcoming new people and visitors as well as visiting with friends. Frequently refreshments are served after Mass. Always have ample seating except when combining all three parishes and Latin Mass attenders then ushers have to look to find you a seat. Saturday evening Mass at 5pm, Sunday at 8:00 am 11:00 am. Spanish Mass on Sunday at 1:00 pm. Confession half hour before Mass. Several weekday and weeknight masses.”

“We had a very nice stay at Staybridge Suites in Fort Wayne. The front desk staff, cleaning staff, and staff at the breakfast bar we're all very friendly and accommodating. The place is clean and updated. Breakfast has a lot of great choices including healthy ones. It would be nice to have some hooks in the bathroom for your towels. Also in our suite there were handles on the inside of the bedroom double doors but not on the outside which made it hard/awkward trying to shut the double doors when others were still sleeping.”

“I found Ruth by looking into EMDR because I has a suspicion that I was struggling with some PTSD from my job. The anxiety and stress was at a level I could no longer cope with by myself. I immediately felt comfortable and welcome with Ruth, and after my inital run of sessions felt like a new person. I come and go with being able to be consistent with going for number of reasons, but I will always come back to her because she is amazing.”

“We chose to move to the Southwest Allen School district so our son would have the opportunity to go to a better high school. He spent K-8 in a different district. We have been very happy with the education and experience at Homestead. Not knowing anyone from the feeder middle school's, he made a lot of friend's in high school. They take education seriously, and don't put up with disrespect and classroom disruptions. The school is clean and the teacher's are great for the most part. Parent's... get involved, if you can, to see what's happening in your child's school. We are happy to say our son is a proud 2018 graduate of Homestead HS.”

“I just finished my fifth grade year here, after six years of going to this school I can definitely recommend it! The school lunches are not the best things you will ever taste but there are some favorable meals. The teachers are nice (at least the ones I got) 10/10 school, recommended!”

“I feel like this school is quite welcoming with all the art displays and the learning environment is very interactive, allowing kids to be more captivated in the lessons themselves. As a former student, I also loved looking forward to holidays and special events that the school planned; for example, Field Day with sports and kids being active in the sun, or the games and candy that were mixed with education during Halloween. The teachers can have some one on one time with a student who is having trouble academically or emotionally and with all the volunteering going on, parents can be more active around the classroom environment. The experience I had for those 6 years were some of the best where I met my present best friends, wonderful teachers, and an education that gets me far in classes currently.”

“Our son has been attending Goddard since September and we couldn't be happier. The learning curriculum is fantastic, the staff cares about our son and his needs. The facility is clean and organized with lots of activities that inspire and nurture his brain. Thank you Ash, Millie and the entire staff for a place that we feel confident taking our son and most importantly he loves to be.”
