“Having Adult instructors and an additional aide with each camp made my children and myself feel like they were safe. The low number of campers per camp session made my children feel included. The instructors knew their name and shared comments about their daily experience when picking up or dropping off. The other campers in the sessions were nice kids and my children felt happy to be around respectful children who contributed to the shared experience. The different offerings were great too and age appropriate. Thus far the one of the best camps my children attended.”

“We are in town for a few months while my husband is working here and it is so refreshing to find a good quality gym while we are on the road. The gym is huge, with one main weight room and a couple of smaller weight rooms/ machine rooms. There is a functional training room along with a classroom and several racquetball courts. There is also plenty of cardio equipment. The women’s locker room is always clean and very spacious. The most important thing I was looking for was childcare for my kids while I workout, and this place has exceeded my expectations. I know my kids are in good hands here and they actually look forward to going to the gym. Childcare is included in the membership whereas other gyms charge separately. You can’t beat $20 a month with childcare included! My only recommendation is that they upgrade the equipment in the machine room as it is all pretty outdated and some machines are awkward to use. Other than that, this gym is awesome and I definitely recommend it!”

“There have recently been some negative reviews for Basche’s Martial Arts posted that I would like to respond to. The first thing I would like to point out is that these have all been posted within the last few days following a disagreement that one parent had with Sensei Basche. Please understand, you can’t please all the people all of the time. This is a simple fact of life. I believe the parent contacted many people and asked them to write a negative review as a deliberate and personal attack on Sensei Basche. There are reviews from people that do not even attend classes there and they sound very similar. That is a red flag in my mind. If you look at the previous reviews of the school, you will find plenty of positive and truthful recommendations and accolades for this school. As with any sport, coaches are there to teach and to motivate and correct the athlete in order to learn proper technique so they can be the best that they can be. This is how Sensei Basche operates his school. He teaches techniques, that when done properly, can be life-saving to a child (and adults). He has helped countless children, and adults, learn self-control and personal discipline over the past three decades. These are things I have witnessed personally, along with many others who can testify to this as well. Many of his students have been dedicated to this school long term and can attest to the positive atmosphere and teachings by Sensei Basche and his team of instructors. My daughter has dedicated over three years to learning martial arts in this school and I am proud of what she has accomplished and how it has carried over into other parts of her life. She has learned self-control, respect, generosity and self-discipline by watching Sensei Basche be an example. His track record is very good and this school is highly recommended by many people, including me. I hope the negativity can be overlooked and the truth can be found.”
