“Great church if you take the time to stick with it!!! At first, it seems like a big church where you don't know people. But if you have stuck around long enough, you will hear Aaron say "if this is not the church for you, that is fine, but please be plugged in to the Word of God somewhere, if not here". That was refreshing to hear!!! Been here for 3 years and they heavily encourage you to be part of a small group so that you can be more intimate with at least 20-30 people in that group before feeling like you would like to get to know more. It is easy to be intimidated with a big church and let your bias and pre-dispositions about church and mega churches take over. However, you need to get plugged into a small group through their website so that it makes your transition much easier, it has been mentioned countless times during services as well. Personally, whether I want to give my time or money or neither, I have not had anyone ask me about it one iota in 3 years. You volunteer your time and/or money if you feel like. I love doing camera work and other stuff as I have time, have a handful of friends in 3 years, and am happy with it. The number of volunteers that do most of the work is staggering and most of us don't even know each other, just sign up and volunteer. So, no, it is not a big social club, people that know each other have known each other from years of going there or by virtue of just being friends outside church that have invited each other. There is always going to be a medium in the current times that is as powerful as the message, whether it is worship music, lighting etc. but if I focused just on the message, I felt like I got more out of the church. Just thought I'd share my personal experience.”
