The Nature Center is a nice place to visit with the kids. Really enjoy Brown County State Park as it has some of the best views in the state. Highly recommended stop.
My children (12, 7, 4) love the nature center. It's a great place to get an up close experience with local wildlife. The guides are wonderful with children and very knowledgeable. There is also a cool hike around the nature center that teaches you about local plant life. Great educational and fun experience!
You can see live reptiles including two types of venomous snakes and a few types of turtles. Great bird watching window with several feeders where you'll likely see interesting birds you don't normally see and other animals like squirrels trying to steal some seeds. There are plenty things to learn about regarding Indiana wildlife such as types of trees and how to identify their age by counting rings with an example. I would recommend stopping by with kids from age 5 to 12 who would most likely enjoy it or any fans of learning or nature.
