Ordered the white oak with knots and finished it with a water based finish with a very subtle white tint. We used Pennington Hardwood when we built the house in 1997 and needed the same flooring for our renovation project. As in 1997, Pennington was fantastic to work with. Kevin was a wealth of flooring experience when it came to making decisions and very responsive and helpful. Flooring was fairly priced and arrived right on schedule. Highly recommend this company. we will use them for more projects.

My most recent order of 1400 sq ft of walnut had about 1% rejects - a remarkable accomplishment. The moisture levels were consistently below 7%. The quality and consistency of the clear/long product is very good. Nationwide shipment services and custom milling at good rates. Fantastic work!

I first discovered Pennington Hardwoods when I ran across a photo of some flooring (on Pinterest) that I immediately fell in love with, but figured there was no way I would ever find the dealer. So I clicked on the photo and I was sent right to Pennington's website, where I decided I would email them with inquiries regarding what type of flooring I was interested in. That got me in contact with Kevin, who was an absolute pleasure to work with during the process of choosing and buying our custom wood floors. We had numerous emails back worth where he answered all my questions and helped guide me through the process of picking out the floors and installing them.

We ended up with Livesawn White Oak floors that are 8 inches wide and range in length of 2 - 12 feet. They have a beautiful Woca Oil hand finish that lends to a softer and more rustic feel than your standard slick and glossy poly finish. We also opted for knots and blemishes in our floors for some charter and when I decided that some of those special features needed to be filled in, to keep them from building up with dirt, Kevin was there again when I emailed and asked for suggestions as to what to do/use.

My floors are one of my favorite things I pick out for my custom house. The price I felt was great for something that was completely custom made just for us.

When I set out to design and build our house in 2017 in the Chicago area, I knew the most important decision was the floor. It would set the tone for the rest of the house styling, and how the house would feel. It was an online photo that brought me to Kevin's website, and an email inquiry that went on for months. I knew the look I wanted, but did not know how to describe it, or how to produce it. Kevin spent many months working with me to nail down the wood type, the milling steps, and the final stain colors and finish, with a very competitive price. He sent me many samples and when it was time for the floor install, shipping all the wood from IN to IL, the arrival of the wood flooring was an exciting day! It turned out just as beautiful as I had imagined. Thank you, Kevin! We love our 4000 SF of Pennington Hardwood floors!
