“This is a Floyd County treasure. Admittedly, it is somewhat of a hassle to become a member. A member must first get a county dog license. This is done with a form, proof of rabies, and proof of spay/neuter and microchip number for a life license. Since our microchip number was not registering, this took two trips and an additional fee to the chip company, Avid. Then you had to make an appointment with the Parks and Recreation Department at a different facility. At the appointment, you had to have a 30 minute in service on the rules, fill out forms, and pay the fees for each dog. We chose life licenses for both. So the fees were $105. for the first dog for life. It is a little less for each additional dog. Once those hoops were jumped, we have a glorious place to allow our dogs to swim and romp. It is a huge, very secure facility. There are water bowls, a water source, a pond for swimming, poop bags, and receptacles provided. It is an age 13 and over facility. So it is less worrisome to allow dogs off leashes, as small children are not there to make skittish dog owners worry. Our family uses the park several times a week.”

“Floyd County Parks have some really nice places to take your children in play. Or you can just go for a walk around the mini trails at they have. Some of them even have some frisbee golf courses that are actually quite a bit of fun if you give it a try. Especially whenever it's nice and warm.”

“Chad Kraft and staff is highly recommended by us. Kraft did an outstanding job. Everything we ask for or needed, they delivered. All the questions that were asked were answered. Kraft went above and beyond for our family. Hands down the best staff we have ever worked with. Kraft made the hardest days in our lives the easiest days of our lives. I highly recommend everyone to Kraft funeral home.”

“Definitely one of the better parks around. Kid friendly, clean, and well maintained. Splash pad during the summer months is a favorite of the kids. Their rope jungle gym is the best around. Add to that a nice skate park, soccer fields, basketball goals, and indoor facilities. It is generally a busy place but there is always room to play. Very friendly and safe kid environment. Great place to walk while the kids play. Pack a lunch and have a picnic. Lots of covered shelter space with very nice tables.”
