Great place to hike. Beautiful scenery year round, but this fall season did not disappoint!
It is a beautiful place, other than the random horse poop you find. But it is beautiful. I do NOT recommend going after it has rained. The mud was thick and i fell/sunk into the mud many times, so please make sure it has been days sense it has rained.
Beautiful Park I would say intermediate hiking trails because it wore me out, absolutely gorgeous scenery and would visit again in a heartbeat! Super cool waterfalls that you can climb into pretty much.
This is a great area to hike with nice lakes, beautiful trees and waterfalls. If you do a snow hike like I did, I highly recommend ice cleats for the hiking trails as there are some hidden patches of ice waiting to surprise you!
We have been coming here for about 2 years now. Whether it's 10° out side or 100°. This place is so beautiful. Peaceful. Eagles as far as you can see. Hawks. Herrings. Cranes. Woodpeckers. Squirrels of every color. Frogs, turtles, deer, coyote, badgers, chipmunks, a whole trail of pine. Fishing, horseback riding, swimming, beaches, dam, boating, kayaks, etc. I believe even primative camping. We picnic here during hikes. There are 3 waterfalls all different sizes. A huge pond. Playgrounds. Fire places available in a shelter to use as well. Closes late 11pm. I find this place to be the main reason I stay living in Wabash. There is a huge rock called hanging rock. With the history posted at the bottom. Very cool find. Hilly roads great for motorcycles.
