Unity Hospice & Palliative Care

I think these Angels have clout with Medicare. After Franciscan Hospital staff referred us to them, they immediately arranged for my husband with dementia to remain in the hospital for his final days. (Prior hospital stays had resulted in him being transferred to a rehab facility.) Many thanks to Brittany, Allison, Dawn and your pastor Kerry Robinson.

When we decided to use hospice for my mom, I immediately thought of Unity. The hospital social worker helped with contacting them. That day they came. A chaplain stopped by to see if we needed anything. A very nice lady walked us through the paperwork. We discussed mom’s wishes and what we needed at home. A bed and supplies were brought in. We got mom home by ambulance. The hospice nurse was right there to help us settle her in. The nurses were only a text or phone call away. When she passed they helped with calling the funeral home, disposing of medications, making sure we were ok. The chaplain checked in on us, too. Very smooth and respectful end to a long and beautiful life. I’m glad they were there to help our family on this journey.

My mom was first in palliative care and eventually hospice w unity. We had a wonderful team. Not only did my mom receive excellent medical care but the support we were both given made a difficult time more manageable for us. Anything we needed such as equipment and meds were usually there same day. We could call our NP, Jaelyn, and RN Brit 24/7 and came when needed. They went above and beyond. They became family. When I had to abruptly move my mom to my home, unbeknownst to me, our supply driver, Chris, showed within the hour moving everything including her bed to my home. He was always uplifting at difficult times and went out of his way to accommodate as well.
Our entire team was amazing and glad we chose Unity. My mom adored them all.
