“My wife and I had a horrible experience on I 80 mile marker 10 on 07/06/2017. We were driving our RV East bound and had a blowout causing an accident that was horrifying to us, and two other vehicles and their drivers. Officer B White ID 5060 was on the scene in what felt like moments. My wife and I were terrified. His calming voice and professional attitude and the way he handled the scene was incredible. We were so distraught feeling. Speaking with him in his caring and professional way, was so comforting. It really makes one appreciate law enforcement. I never had taken for granted what they do, but this experience has reinforced our beliefs. We want to especially thank officer White, and ISP Lowell 13 for having such professional officers on staff. ”

“CLPD does a great job. People tend to drive very fast through our subdivision and there are lots of kids, so for a whole afternoon, not one but two officers came and sat in different culdesacs within the subdivision to help correct the problem. It really helped and the residents with kids really appreciated it. Another time, someone in our neighborhood witnessed someone trying to get into cars. CLPD increased patrols in our subdivision. Our subdivision's Facebook page has shown considerable positive feedback about their commitment to keeping the residents in our subdivision safe.”

“Better than Porter county. Seriously. All I want is not to deal with constant Harassment. In lake station I can walk around. Play with my kid in the park. Go to the store or anything I want to do as long as I'm not making trouble. hell in lake station there is a State Police presence and they don't bother me either. I'm originally from lake county(Gary) and moved to Porter county for about 9 years with so many incidents of unneeded harassment. Now I'm back in lake county and haven't been bothered once in 3 years. It's like I'm free again. I'm not saying lake station pd is perfect but they let you live. Again Lspd isn't perfect. My opinion is based on my personal experience. I'm not an advocate of the police. But I'm an advocate for my personal freedom. I'm not a criminal. But Porter county looks at me as a criminal.”
