“this is a very large Walmart they do have everything from soup to nuts very large grocery store I did find that their prices are very high in the grocery store compared to the other stores in our area our town. they do have a beauty salon inside as well as a Subway shop a place to buy glasses and a pretzel store. I was looking for fishing items and had no trouble finding what I wanted and the prices were good on that side is just the food that I find too expensive But you got to love Walmart”

“One of the last locally-owned full-service grocery stores in the area. Al's is Superior in their customer service as well as their quality. They do have a fairly large selection of craft beer. They also have a selection of vegan options in their prepared meals in the freezer section. They do have fresh meat, with a great butcher department for any of your needs. Their fried Chicken is probably the best in Michigan City. They also have great birthday cake options. Al's makes homemade donuts daily! Highly recommended for specialty items and daily shopping”

“Being near Long Beach and all of the summer homes, this is quite the upscale market. It's like a small Target with about anything you might need or want. Very convenient to the Northeast of Michigan City on the way to New Buffalo. Prices are very good, too, and we found one if our favorite Rose wines for under $8! Bakery is outstanding, and all of their meats and fish are as fresh as can be.”

“The produce, the bakery, the meat counter are all above average. I do not go there for clothing, although I bought a few items for my kids when they were little. They are a huge store with a tremendous selection of items for a household. This is a step above Walmart with better quality all around. Prices are slightly higher however for identical items. I am able to find all of the food items on my list in most cases. Meijer is not close to my home, about 1/2 hour away so I am not able to go as often as I might want to, sadly.”
