“I really dug this place. I'm not a big fan of rating a place after eating there one time, BUT I did eat there with friends that have been there many times. Based on my experience, this place was pretty great. We had good service, food was good and the atmosphere was good. I had chicken tacos and although they were difficult to eat because the pieces of chicken were oddly shaped, they were good. I had a side of onion rings that were really good too. My friends liked the food they ordered and it wasn't overly expensive either. The only knock on our experience was that the checks took a while to get to us (about fifteen minutes). If you're in the mood for a place to eat solid food in a brewery-type restaurant / bar, give it a shot. We'll be going again. I didn't give it five stars because it was my first time and the food was only 4 star worthy. ;)”

“I loved the food here. It was a little expensive but nothing too bad. I couldn't remember the name of a dish that I liked and the lady working behind the counter remembered. She told me what it was and said that even though it wasn't on the menu, they could throw it together. Then they made it and it was awesome. Exceptional customer service. There were people in the kitchen who didn't have hairnets in however though, which is a health-code violation. Aside from all that though the visit was good and I enjoyed it.”

“Loved this place. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. The best thing was definitely the food. It was really nice to find a place that has options for everyone, regardless if you are gluten free, vegetarian, or vegan. They are clearly labeled on the menu and there are multiple options for each dietary restriction alongside plenty of good food options for people without dietary restrictions. The food wasnt really expensive either. I definitely recommend this place. Props to the staff also, everyone was nice and welcoming. This is a must go place, especially if you have dietary restrictions.”

“Not only was the food absolutely phenomenal, but my fiancé and I witnessed the most genuine show of compassion from our waiter. A young homeless woman walked in and asked for some food and without missing a beat our waiter rushed back to the kitchen to see what was still warm (it was close to closing time, we were the only ones there). He came back with a generous to go box of food for her. Her eyes lit up. It was so kind of him. I've eaten at many a restaurant in Broad Ripple and watched many homeless people be physically removed from a restaurant while getting cussed out. Shalimar showed so much kindness to this woman. It was a nice reminder of the good in the world despite so much divisiveness. We'll definitely be back because 1) the food was fantastic and flavorful and 2) the random act of kindness touched me. I highly recommend!”

Both him and his wife work very hard and are there almost every time I come in. They are friendly and take care of you.
