“Interesting new concept( to us ) in an Indian restaurant. You choose the protein, then the sauce, then veggies, then toppings. We didn't know what we were doing the first time, so I asked the server to put together two bowls, all mild. It was very good! I was emboldened my second visit due to me being a "veteran" at the restaurant... and designed the bowl myself. Oops. Should have let the server select the mix. It was still very good, but we both quickly agreed it was better the first time when the server put together the bowls. Be careful of the small green sprouts. Several in the bowl were like small pieces of hard gravel. They may have hurt some dental work.”

Despite my ignorance, she was very patient and made several suggestions, one of which I selected, then pulled forward to the pickup window. Again, Shirley could not have been more kind and helpful!!! She, even have me coupon for my next visit. If Shirley is typical of the employees at this location, they will do extremely well. “This was our first visit to El Meson and we left with a great impression. The manager was friendly and kind, the moment we entered. The atmosphere is very open and clean with plenty of seating. The staff was on top of sanitizing menus and the facility. Generous portions, and our food was served fresh and very hot. Also, the chips were generously refilled. “Fantastic! I’ve been to multiple Asian places over the decades to include Chinatown in Chicago. This is - bar none - the best ethnic Asian food that I’ve can remember! This was my first visit and had a lunch of Dry Chili Chicken, selecting a heat level of 4. I believe next time I will try the heat level of 6. The interior is impeccably clean and the walls are decorated with Brat Pack memorabilia with the golden tones of Frank Sinatra playing overhead. I have a new favorite restaurant!”

“Courses is not your run of the mill restaurant, it's student run which makes it exceptionally unique. The restaurant sits high up in the sky on the 13th floor or penthouse of the old Stouffer Hotel, now the home of Ivy Tech Community College. Here fine dining is met by college courses for their hospitality department. Classical cuisine/international cuisine courses create the food led by an instructor, a customer service class takes care of front of house needs, while a beverage management programs gives students behind the bar table & cocktail creation experience. The atmosphere is gorgeous. Not to mention the breathtaking view of downtown Indianapolis. The prices are great, too - $25 in the evening for three courses. It is always fun engaging with the students as well. The hours are limited as they run around class times, but a night out worth having. Put it on your to-do list. I'll be back again!!”
