A breath of fresh air in the wide open grassland of northern Indiana. The kids loved it. The bison were close and easy to see on the day of our visit. Make sure you have binoculars because the herd could be quit some distance. The two raised hills give a slightly higher vantage point, but the bison are usually partially hidden in the tall grass. They did not move too far in my hour of observation. There were quite a few deer and birds visible also.
Been there a few time still ain't seen any. They must be like Bigfoot excellent at hide and seek.
Bison were off in the distance hard to see at first had to wait. Beautiful area. Good for a small hike, can sit on bench and enjoy scenery
Stopped on our way home to southern Indiana from Chicago...beautiful scenery. The bison were a pretty good distance away but we were able to see them a little closer as we drove back out to the highway. Definitely something worth checking out if your close to the area.
