Dan, and his crew of employees at KOA Hogback, were possibly the friendliest, and most helpful campground crew that I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
From the moment we showed up we were greeted with smiles, and were offered helpful hands with the vehicle issues that we were having. The team even assisted getting our camper put onto our site, while our vehicle was out of commission.
The KOA company must have good hearts, as multiple times during our stay, there were (no pressure) fundraisers, for terminally ill children. These included 50/50 raffles, and pancake breakfasts. It definitely warms the heart.
During the entire duration of our stay, the family was never lacking things to do. From swimming, to arts and crafts, and even live music, the campground is definitely a step above the rest.
It was a pleasure camping at the KOA Hogback, and I already have my next trip there scheduled.
I recently had the pleasure of spending some quality time with my family at KOA Hogback Lake in Indiana, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! As a seasonal camper, I was thrilled to discover the numerous perks and attractions this campground has to offer.
First and foremost, KOA Hogback Lake is currently undergoing renovations, which is fantastic news for all campers. The management is dedicated to improving the facilities and enhancing the overall camping experience. It's wonderful to see them investing in making this place even better!
Speaking of experiences, this has been my first year at KOA Hogback Lake, and I can confidently say that it has exceeded all my expectations. With three energetic kids in tow, I wanted to ensure there were plenty of activities to keep them entertained, and this place didn't disappoint.
One major advantage of this campground is that you have the option to bring your own golf cart and boat, albeit with a small fee. This flexibility allows families like mine to explore the beautiful surroundings at our own pace, making every day an adventure. The affordability of this option is also a huge plus, especially for families on a budget.
One of the standout features of KOA Hogback Lake is its pristine and well-maintained facilities. Unlike many other KOA campsites, this one is paved, providing a smooth and convenient camping experience. The beautiful pool, which is drained and cleaned daily, offers a refreshing oasis on hot summer days. It's truly a joy to relax and cool off in such a clean and inviting pool.
Saturday is undoubtedly the highlight of the week here at KOA Hogback Lake, as it is designated as the activity day. The campground organizes a wide range of engaging and fun-filled activities for campers of all ages. From arts and crafts to sports competitions, there's something for everyone to enjoy. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet other families and create lasting memories together.
Let's not forget about the lake itself! KOA Hogback Lake boasts an exciting obstacle course that adds an extra element of adventure to your stay. Whether you're up for some friendly competition or simply want to challenge yourself, the obstacle course provides endless hours of entertainment for kids and adults alike.
In conclusion, KOA Hogback Lake in Indiana is an absolute gem for families seeking an affordable, enjoyable, and memorable camping experience. With ongoing renovations, a paved campground, a pristine pool, engaging activities, and a thrilling obstacle course, this place truly has it all. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning for many more years of family bonding and adventure!
Nice campground. Clean, safe - part of the grounds is gated (one section isn't) lots of workers who will address concerns & needs.
Plenty to do where you don't have to leave the campground - lazy river is nice, lake with beach and inflatables, you can rent pantoon boat for the day. The camp sites are large and the cabins were nice.
My only complaint would be the number of seasonal sites. Sometimes when there are so many seasonal sites it starts to feel more like a mobile home park vs. a campground.
