“Amazing location, TONS of privacy (39 acres!!), great views, and a cozy house! We just got back from a five night stay here and it was incredible. The only thing I would suggest if you’re staying long term, want to use the kitchen a lot, and are used to a certain quality of cookery and cutlery, maybe bring some of your own stuff from home. Other than that, they have everything you need here. If you’re grilling out the next door neighbor’s dog Joesie might come say hi 🐶, but don’t let her inside or feed her scraps! 10/10 stay, can’t wait to return.”

“We stayed at the Harrison Spring Cabin. This is such a beautiful location! You are sitting right on the river. We were so lucky, our first night it stormed and the water was rushing by the porch and it was just amazing. The owner is extremely nice and easy to talk to. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because the water out of the tap smelled pretty bad. All of us didn't shower the whole 3 days, we pretty much treated it like camping. They did provide a cooler filled with fresh water though for drinking and it lasted us the whole time. Overall, I will definetly rent this cabin again in the future.”

“An amazing place to visit. Right off Interstate 80/94. It is a nice place centered around hotels, restaurants, a beautiful lake & walk paths that are spectacular year round. Their seasonal events are a must stop on any road trip. One can get hundreds of information about places, events, Regional/State history to include beautiful Lake Michigan, Local, State, National Reserves/Parks/Cabins, handmade Amish quilts/goods down State, Indy Children's Museum, old Victorian homes hotels/Airb&b, Michael Jackson/Jackson home in Gary, Crown Point Jail where Dillinger was held, James Dean,singer Deniece Williams hometowns all over Indiana and parts of Illinois to Michigan: fishing/venues /museums/recreation/amusement water parks/ festivals and Local, State, National Historical famous/Registered sites. It's a safe, family friendly place with a very nice gift shop area. If you choose to make the Lake County Convention Center and the hotel near by as part of your vacation itinerary, it's only a few miles from HardRock Casino off Burr exit, Munster Center for Visual & Performing Arts,the Hammond Arts Community, Wicker Park and hundreds of Northwest, Indiana spots. Hop on I-80/94 and zip for a day trip in Chicago.”

The lessons are more than tack up and ride circles or laps for 30 minutes. Goals are set and at the end of the lesson, progress or obstacles are discussed and the lesson is reviewed with the instructor and student to ensure progress. Even when not actively involved in a lesson, the instructors are always available for questions and celebrate progress when we achieve our goals. We love MisFit Farms!”
