Athletic Park

Great park! There are several different playground areas so you have different options. There are a lot of separate areas to have picnics or barbecues. Some are out in the open and some are more hidden. There are lots of shady areas so you can stay cool. The scenery there is also very beautiful.

The best park in Newton! Multiple playgrounds, sand volleyball court, horseshoes, tennis court, and lots of open space!

Attended blues, brews, bbq event. Space is clean and easily accessible. Facilities seem well maintained. The little bandshell area worked good for the bands.

Had a birthday party here. Gave the kids something to do, so that was nice. Was a bit dirty in the shelter we were in on the Southeast side. Little bit limited because we needed electricity and that's only available in the two shelter houses on the east side. All in all a good enough place...

Childhood memories all around here. Most of the equipment I played on is now replaced with new safety equipment. The city pool is located nearby. Sand Creek is also close with a beautiful walking path.
