“Just as we walked in, the point-of-sale terminal started having problems. The cashier was talking to the corporate support team, and they said they would be addressing it from their end. Then, the system completely locked up, and the crew was unable to process orders. Michelle, the manager-on-duty, handled the situation extremely well, and had one of the workers post a sign on the door indicating they were temporarily closed and that they could only handle pick-ups that had already been purchased online. There was one family who was caught in the middle of having their meals prepped when the system went down. Michelle instructed her crew to take their contact information and they would process the payment when the system was up. The customer was happy because they were able to get their order and get their kids home. I thought Michelle did a great job, working the situation (including being on the phone with support), dealing with the customers, and giving instructions to the rest of the crew. She showed great poise and calm, and the situation turned out better than I expected it to be. Great job, Michelle!”
