Great!!! Well presented. Worth the time. Very informative and great staff. The entomologist answered my son's questions very patiently.
The second floor has amazing hands on activities for kids... not cheesy or patronising, but really challenging and simulating! First floor had a couple virtual reality options, build your own dinosaurs, a T-Rex skeleton, and sea monsters of North America. The replica skeletons in the sea monster exhibit were incredible! It's very hard to imagine turtles being that large, or that such amazing animals lived in the shallow ocean that once covered much of North America.
I would recommend taking children if you go. Lots of interactive displays geared for children but I also enjoyed them. Parking garage there with restaurants for all ages.
This place is absolute beautiful! We were only there to take our fall family pictures with the amazing stained glass as a backdrop, but we will definitely be back many more times. Anyone looking for an amazing photo op or a beautiful backdrop for portraits, look no further! You will not be disappointed!
My kids really enjoyed the discovery room upstairs. They loved all the hands-on science. The Savage Seas exhibit was well put together. And the building itself is beautiful. Only reason I give it 4 stars is because it's kinda small for the entrance fee. But my kids had fun.
