“Great view but kinda awkward with propped windows facing directly at the park. Also, you have to drive up the hill and look for the stairs, there's a sign at the bottom but not at the top.”

“My sister had her bachelorrete party here a few weeks ago and it's an understatement to say how blown away we were! We stayed in the AC cabin for one night. The beds were very comfortable, and I would even go as far to say more comfortable than my bed at home. I got great sleep. The premises are gorgeous. There are gardens everywhere and an abundance of birds, goats, chickens, roosters, ducks, and peacocks. It was lovely to sit outside and just watch them wonder about. The couple who owns the amazing property were so welcoming. My group forgot water, and they made sure we had a large pitcher of nice, cool cucumber water. At night, they lit our own campfire for us. They definitely went above and beyond for their guests. Breakfast (so good and homemade!!!) was served on their giant wrap around porch filled with big porch swings, benches and rocking chairs. I drank coffee out there in the morning and felt so at peace watching the birds. We will definitely be visiting again and are wanting to make an annual trip at Hoot Owl Hill. I would recommend this quaint place to anyone looking for a fun weekend getaway.”

“For a tiny admission price, you get a guided tour where you see cats of all sizes plus several other animals. They are working on expanding so they will have even more room for these beautiful animals to roam. This is a short drive from Kansas City. If you live in KC or are visiting, this is a great place to spend a few hours - kids will love it.”

“My family loves going out on the their trails, which are all volunteer maintained. They have miles and miles of trails going around the lake, plus plenty of hitching posts, corrals, and rv hookups complete with fire pits if you want to extend your stay and make it a camping trip instead of a day trip. They also have a nice mounting block if your horse is tall!”

“Wonderful place to visit and replenish your pond supplies. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Update: We have always enjoyed our interaction with Diane. We got to meet Kevin during the planning for our project. Nice guy and great to work with. But, we were most impressed with the two young men who actually done the work on our project, Brock and Adam. They were diligent in their work habits. They didn't just work, they thought through the process to build a quality pondless water feature. We are very happy with the final results as are all our neighbors.”
