“Ms R is a KC mainstay. Been in this spot as long as I can remember. KCK doesn't provide many soul food options but this spot always comes through. The cheeseburgers are my go to for here, however the more hearty meals are great-delicious, satisfying and affordable. The menu changes from day to day. Fried pork chops are my favorite. My mom and aunt love the meatloaf or smothered chops. Not ideal for dining in but great otherwise.”

“Everyone in Kansas City has an opinion about the best BBQ, but this is a joint that has been around since the early 30's and should not be ignored or dismissed. Best sauce, best brisket, and they serve RC cola. No one else in the city serves RC cola, and I wish we had more places that did. It's near impossible to find this far north. Very old school vibe and definitely my favorite place in the city for 'que.”
