I got instructions from the local guys where I could have breakfast. even from the door you could feel the pleasant smell of the kitchen, the atmosphere was on a level, and there were only a few tables. laughter filled the room. the waitress found a seat for me and we easily agreed on the order. I had fried eggs with slightly crispy bacon and toasted bread with a glass of grape juice for breakfast. the whole bill was only $12. the interior is actually an antique! you can only see such things in movies. it was a pleasure to be your guest! my warm recommendation to everyone! and yes, I almost forgot the workers, who really took an interest in me and paid attention to me, listened carefully and asked me questions! “This place is definitely popular, so be prepared for a wait. The price was quite reasonable and the portions were huge. Mom had the smoked meatloaf special with green beans and mashed potatoes, and said it was excellent. I had biscuits and gravy, with bacon sausage and eggs and a side of cinnamon French toast. The sausage was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Not quite so fond of the gravy, but it was okay. I am deducting a star for the long wait time. We will definitely be back!!”

Building is right on Commercial St, a main downtown street with plenty of parking right outside the door. Good variety on the menu. I had the Flabby Chicken breakfast sandwich which was delicious, fresh, and perfect! Also ordered a raspberry & white chocolate scone which I was a bit disappointed in. Flavor was good, but the bread was too heavy and dry for my preferences. I will return!”

Good, but the food has that "out of a can; out of a bag" feel and taste. I happen to love corned beef hash out of a can, so I was okay with it. The generic pre-baked biscuits were the worst part of the entire meal. I like my homemade biscuits and gravy, so that was a real letdown. Overall, I would certainly go back for breakfast. I would just make better choices from the menu.”

“Great little cafe! Got the special; roast beef with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, salad & a roll. Even included a piece of cake for dessert & all for only $8.75. Everything was delicious and tasted like good down home comfort food. Also had several pies to choose from for dessert. Waitress was polite and helpful. Definitely recommend if you’re passing through or even just as a short day trip get away from Wichita for a couple hours.”

The princess has the week off and I didn't feel like cooking breakfast so I picked up two biscuits breakfast sandwiches a side of cheese grits and a glazed blueberry biscuit for carry out. Everything was very impressive. The restaurant is very clean bright and full of good smells. We shared everything as usual. The food was hot and tasty I especially enjoyed the grits. The service was fast and friendly. I'll will definitely return to try the chicken as well as the biscuits and gravy.”

“I recently started as the farmers market coordinator in bonner springs. I came in here for a meeting, and now every time I come into town I feel like I need to stop. I love the vibes in here. And the owner is extremely nice and friendly. The coffee is delicious, flavorful, and not watery. Everything mixes perfectly. I've tried a few things on the menu, a sandwich and a Buffalo chicken wrap. But my chosen side is always the chicken and wild rice soup. It's delicious. I can't seem to get enough of it, and even writing this review makes me want to go get some. I've found myself repeatedly ordering a caramel lavender iced latte, and it really gets me through my days.”
