“Dave Ried is one of the best mechanics I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, along with his dear friend JR Bartlett. These guys were my neighbors at their previous place of employment, ( their employer was a jerk and didn’t take care of his top notch employees). I never trusted anyone at all with my 1964 Pontiac GranPrix, NO ONE! Except Dave and his buddy. That car was my baby, handed down from my deceased father. He kept that car safe in the shop for 2 months, while working on it in his spare time, also rebuilding the 3 barell carb. Dave is a master, and is a genius at automotive electrical too. My dogs ate every wire and broke lights on my 10 x 6 utility trailer, Dave rewired the whole thing. Works great ever since! I couldn’t of asked for better friends or better mechanics! “I contacted General Spring before placing my order online and gentleman on the phone was able to help me order the correct parts for my application. I also ordered too many of one part and a representative sent what was needed for the job and offered a refund for the extra parts. Shipping was very quick, sent the day after I ordered, and due to my close proximity to Kansas City, most parts arrived within 48 hours of my order (which was placed after hours). The only problem I had was that I received an email saying all parts had shipped, leading me to believe they would all arrive together. This was not the case, as one part(s) was shipped from a manufacturer, adding additional travel time. This was not an issue, but I wish there was some more clarity that all the parts may be shipped separately, and therefore may be delivered at different times. A representative did respond to my inquiry on a Friday evening after hours to clarify the situation with me. “I was quoted a very reasonable fee to repair a front bumper (straighten out brackets) on a vehicle I am selling. When I received a call that the vehicle was ready to pick up, I was told there would be NO CHARGE since they were not able to get the bumper perfectly back into alignment. It looked 95% better than when I dropped it off. But obviously 95% isn't good enough for Carstar. They are a 100% quality organization.
