“Advising and for the most part instructors are wonderful. Karen Roth in the advising department is wonderful. She goes way above her call of duty to ensure success of the students. They have fun activities once in awhile for the students, to encourage socialization with peers. Study groups are offered as well. Overall I've had a very positive experience at the Newton Campus. Thank you for encouraging me, as well as providing support in my educational needs.”

“I have been enrolled in the Christian Counseling curriculum since November, 2022. These classes are very eye-opening and I foresee that it will benefit many who counsel as well as those who are counseled. Faith Therapy, Transformation, Basic Attending Skills, very transforming information. Thanks Dr. Reiner for your passion and assistance throughout these courses.”

“The Athletic Center is easy to access, clean, quiet during JV, (seems empty). Very visible scoreboards. There's no adults, student reps, or anyone to go to if something happens or is needed. No concessions (for the JV team at least). It would be nice if there was a gift shop or at a minimum a tee shirt stand for guests so they could support not only their child, but the school... especially when driving hours for a game... it shows the lack of support and devalues the importance the school puts on the junior varsity sports (as that's the only time I've been in there). As for the campus, entry appears nice, but dorm repairs aren't taken care of, the RA is non existent and not supportive for the men, and you wouldn't know it's a faith based school bc rules/ boundaries aren't enforced. The campus constantly reeks of marijuana, outside the buildings. Kids are running around at all hours. No structure. No privacy or compatible room pairing. Broken items in room since move in fall semester, still not fixed despite reporting to RA and inquiring in office beginning of August 2022. Deteriorating (holes, stains, and crumbling paint ) ceilings, walls, stained chairs, broken bed, small rooms, no adjoining bathroom, 1 plug in to share (maybe 2 in entire room), only 1 kitchen w/ only 1 microwave (no microwave allowed in rooms) available for entire dorm (3 floors), and is shut down if not taken care of (which I understand, but if organized there could be better accountability and those who took care of it could use it). Also, no one shows them hope to care for it and many are never shown, so how can you expect them to just know. Theft occurs within the dorms from laundry room, rooms, cars, etc, yet no one speaks up. Cafeteria hours are shortened, food isn't fresh, there aren't healthy options at all times, it's not all you can eat, (they can bring a sandwich back to the room), so our kids are spending $100s in groceries/ month over what the school gets each semester (which is thousands) bc they are hungry and can't get enough food due to restricted hours, lack of options and inadequate/spoiled options. Overall, there's Prentiss, but I think they need to get back to the faith based roots and have more guidance and accountability for their students and their safety! Also, something bringing the students together... to get involved.”

“As a Central alumnus, I could talk about the school and my experience forever. I highly encourage you to take the time to visit and speak with the students and staff. Central isn't for everyone, but it is for students who have a desire to have a personal relationship with Jesus in an academic setting that will test you not only in the classroom but in your everyday life. The school is still working on program diversity, so there are not a lot of majors to choose from. However, Central does have strong education, contemporary Christian music, business, and psychology programs that work well with students from all backgrounds. Central is a heavily athletic orented school that takes pride in the accomplishments of their student-athletes. Home games create a wonderful atmosphere to be a part of. Also, small settings mean you sit next to the women's soccer goalie in your CCW class and the men's basketball point guard in chapel. The coaches are wonderful to be around and can be found at all athletic activities. Central's Fine Arts department is by far one of the best kept secrets in town! From the theater productions to the Jazz concerts, the level of talent and creativity is amazing. I think that my favorite part of the arts program are the bands that lead worship in chapel. The bands help to create an atmosphere of worship and light to those who attend. Not to mention, you might hear one of your favorite songs on a day when you really need it. As I said before, Central isn't for everyone and they are extremely clear about their beliefs and the rules of the school. This is a PRIVATE CHRISTIAN institution. Do not be surprised if you get into trouble for breaking the rules...(firsthand experience). Not to say that they don't extend grace, just know what you are signing up for before you attend. You don't have to be a Christian or religious, you do however have to have respect for the guidelines that are set before you. As long as you do as you're asked and have a positive perspective I think that you will find that there are people who want to help you in everything that you do. You will meet people who have a terrible opinion and outlook on the school and the people who are associated with Central, but my biggest piece of advice would be to make up your own mind about Central. Don't let others dictate your college experience (myself included). Do what you think is financially, emotionally, spirituality, and academically right for you.”

“We went to the park to watch my grandson play baseball at this venue for the first time. The parking lot was spacious, but the first thing that you notice as you walk up was the awesome sound system. They also have anew turf field. Bathrooms and concessions were adequate. I am not sure about the accessibility for those with handicaps.”

“I've been taking voice-over acting classes for two years and loved it so much that I also joined the on camera acting class a year ago so now take both! With the excellent coaching I've received I hardly recognize myself between now and when I first started. It's a group setting and like a one-room schoolhouse but Dan is able to give individualized coaching and meet each student where they are in their own growth process. We also learn from working with and watching each other perform during class. We not only receive coaching and training on technique but we begin each class learning about different aspects of the business and discussing the current market.”

“Chilled (Really comfy cold) at the HCC Library. They have a FREE Magazines box and the 25¢ book shelves, great way to expand your home library. The librarians are really passionate about student achievement, and are excellent with the latest technology. And out the East doors of the library is the campus pond and gardens which are very well maintained. The varieties of flowers, plants, grasses are impressive, and my all time favorite on the HCC campus is the Zebra Grass. The pond area would make for a nice evening out, and anyone can visit it FREE!”

“My son is a freshman and transferred to Hesston at the semester. This has been THE BEST decision for him! We can not say enough about the college and teams, coaches, professors. He says it feels like one big family. No getting lost in the shuffle. The dorms are by far the best we've seen. We've been to big D1 schools, and their dorms didn't hold a candle to these. I very much recommend Hesston College!!”

“Friends university gave me a new hope. As an adult student returning to college, I wanted to do it my way, while working and being busy with life’s other adventures. Friends was the most ideal place for me. From the advising staff to registrar department, they’re all wanting to help you as much as they could. Absolutely love the administration. They do not want your money and give you something of a degree, they will teach you many things in life.”
