Boone County Public Library - Main Library

Very expansive and bright. Friendly, accommodating librarians. Generally very quiet, unless you get a study room neighbor who either doesn't seem to realize the walls are NOT sound proof, or doesn't care.

Word of warning? It seems to ALWAYS be very cold, so I'd suggest dressing appropriately when you go.

It's a library. What can I say. The staff is super kind and helpful. Has plenty of books and if they don't have it they will research to see if it can be acquired from a different local branch. They are helpful with computers if needed and offer wifi if you bring your own device. They do maintain a level of quiet. Some people don't understand that concept, but they are kind enough to remind them for the rest of us.

Stepped in to renew our library cards. Had a good time just browsing the library.

Beautiful building with courteous staff. Senior center room, student learning center, large children's section on 2nd floor.
Also showcase artwork from county schools and other areas of the arts.
If you want to start, or add to your collection, they also have on sale books, cds, etc at very affordable prices, .50 / $1.
