Very nice campground though the back lots are kind of tilted so you'll need leveling kits. There are some nice little trails for families and the campground is relatively small so the kids can't pedal too far away on their bikes. Also, there are Bison to view within the park. Pretty cool!
LOVE this park. The visitor center is nice and has a small historical display that educates you on the history of big bone lick. The staff are friendly.
You HAVE to see the bison. In the hot summer days the bison like to lay down under the shade of the trees. Catch them in a cooler time of the year and they will roam the open pasture. Pretty cool!
The park is well maintained.
So interesting. Great artillery demonstration with people in character. Lots of artifacts and picture boards explaining the history. Easy walk. Mostly outdoors. We had a great day for it. History buffs need to visit. Small museum with more in depth history of the different occupations of the native Indians, the French, British and Americans.
Beautiful place to camp out! Stayed here to visit the creation Museum and the Ark in nearby Kentucky, and couldn't be happier with my experience.
We were able to do the short walk and see the big group of Bison on the property early one morning as well. Highly recommend for camping whether tent or RV camping.
