My family visited the Christmas display and gingerbread house competition display. It t was well worth the modest $5 admission and one hour drive. The lights and decor were beautiful, they had traditional music playing throughout the campus. There was a nice gift shop of hand crafted items, a tent serving hot beverages, and a food tent. They had propane gas fireplaces set up so you could eat or drink outside and enjoy the ambiance. The gingerbread houses ranged from the hilarious and traditional, to incredible astoundingly ornate masterpieces. There was a $5 donation to see them, well worth it for sure. The crowd ranged from families, couples young and old, and everything between. The excitement of the children and just seeing folks of all kinds enjoying the Christmas season was an uplifting evening for my family.
Absolutely stunning light display. I love that this is one you can take your time and walk through and there are lots of photo opportunities for your family. We went on a Tuesday night when the additional offerings were not open so that parking would be easier and the crowds not so big. It was amazing. There is music playing and it really sets an amazing atmosphere. Simply breathtaking.
Beautiful place to visit 😍 the gingerbread house competition was amazing! They ask that you don't take pictures since they must be judged, so I did not take any, but they were super awesome. Definitely going back next year and taking some more pictures.
This is a wonderful venue. We went for the Christmas event and it was decorated beautifully! I loved that they had warm tents to escape into to get out of the cold for a moment. We had such fun seeing all the gingerbread houses, lights, and locally made items in the artisan shop. There was a food truck, live music, and lots of sweets and treats to buy.
A few of us went together to MSH for the first time. Their Christmas event is worth going to if you like beautifully lighted grounds, lots of gingerbread houses to see, and an artist's market, along with hot chocolate, bakery treats, and sandwiches. Lots of really good holiday photo opportunities! Highly recommend.
