Delicious. Superb. Excellent. Probably the best Spanish Rice I have ever had. Keeps the tea glasses full. I had the Spinach Chicken with cheese and mushrooms. Sided with Spanish Rice and Refried Beans. Not overly salty.
Y'all look at this plate of delicious BBQ ribs! Awesome
Great food with very nice people. Service was top notch as well. The carnitas are absolutely delicious, some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend. Prices are very reasonable as well.
I've eaten here several times since they opened a few years ago, and always had a decent experience and nice service, but just okay food. For starters, the chips and rice - two things I look forward to the most - are lacking in flavor, and the chips are quite thick. There's also something to be said for a refined and manageable menu; this one reads like the Cheesecake Factory! Overall no serious complaints, just a little underwhelming. I'm not sure why they unseated Guadalajara as 'the' Mexican spot in Danville (shiny object syndrome?), or what they’ve done to deserve the fanfare.
I'm giving Mi Pueblo four stars for three things: 1) Sopa de Pollo (Chicken Soup with rice, avocado, and more) is AMAZING (and huge!!!!); 2) the chips. These are not your garden variety tortilla chips. At least a star or two better than most any Mexican restaurant you'll find in the American mass market. Places in San Antonio or Phoenix that are in the barrio might be better, but Danville doesn't have a barrio :-). 3) The fajita nachos de pueblo are pretty darn fine, too, but the soup is something that shouldn't be passed up.
