Fantastic! Great place for a romantic, tranquil getaway. The cabins are cozy, and the trails are perfect for long walks or runs. We had breakfast and dinner, and both were delicious. Barbara and her staff are very welcoming and have created a very special place!
This place is fantastic. It is located in some of the most beautiful acres of land in Kentucky. It is very peaceful and allows you to unwind. Barbara and her staff were first rate. The food was so delicious. We also had a dinner meal and desserts delivered and it was all so yummy. We can’t wait to go back.
I just returned from a work retreat at Snug Hollow. I have lived in KY for 18 years and this is the most beautiful property I have ever visited in all my years here. Snug Hollow was what I imagined when I moved to KY and I will remember Barbara, her amazing food and her wonderful staff for the rest of my life. The meals are vegetarian but Barbara has carefully perfected her recipes (like her bean soup and biscuits in gravy) in such a way that you get the meaty flavor but without the meat. I loved the food so much, I bought Barbara’s cookbook so I could recreate her meals and always remember my time at her B&B.. The cabins are quaint and cozy, have all the amenities you could need (and then some) and felt like home. It can be difficult to pick up certain cell phone carriers out there but I promise, you won’t have time or even miss not having service! There is so much to explore and see on the property but in the event you need to send out pictures of all the amazing views and food, there is Wi-Fi available at the main house. I highly recommend adding on dinner if your budget will allow, you won’t be disappointed!
I need extra stars to rate this place. My sisters and 96 year old mother spent a weekend here. We rented the Cozy, a little cottage with a big porch where we sat and watched the butterflies and birds in the valley, read, and talked. We took walks through out the property. This is all lovely but it's the service and food that were standouts. The vegetarian meals were delicious and plentiful. Barbara and her team were gracious and kind. Responsive to any need we had, sending a golf cart to take my mother to breakfast. You will make some sacrifices - it's rustic and limited cell service and WiFi. But these lacks made the weekend better. I can't recommend this place enough - worth every penny.
From the moment we arrived, our stay was so peaceful and magical.
As soon as we pulled up to the Farm House, Barb greeted us and showed us an Evening Primrose that bloomed in front of our eyes. She showed us around our cabin - Cabin with A View. The cabin was very well thought out in its design for guests and was perfectly cozy. We spent the first night sitting in rocking chairs on the porch with a bottle of wine.
In the morning, we had a delicious breakfast with the other guests. Everyone was obviously very relaxed and very happy to be there. After breakfast, we went on a gorgeous walk through the grounds. Originally, we thought about going on a hike or kayaking nearby but I was glad we spent the entire weekend at Snug Hollow instead. Sunset was gorgeous by the labyrinth.
We had the most romantic and peaceful weekend. I can't want to come back!
