“My two sons attend Dr. Kim's World Taekwondo Academy. I enrolled my first son when was in kindergarten to help him to learn focus and discipline. His attitude and behavior at school were greatly improved during first grade and I chose to homeschool him in 2020. I believe that the taekwondo lessons he attended during this time complemented his school work and enabled him to finish the year early. My youngest son has also been training with Dr. Kim for about six months. Both of the boys "practice" on each other at home and just as iron sharpens iron, the boys have learned from each other as they spar. The instructors at this school are personable but serious and they have high expectations for the children in terms of behavior and effort. Almost all of Dr. Kim's students rise to the occasion and he has produced many black belts. The students I have met who have obtained their black belt are courteous and driven. The black belt training, which my oldest son is currently doing, requires exceptional physical fitness which only comes through daily commitment and practice at home. The other two components of the training are service to others and advocating for martial arts in the community. I feel that these are just as important as the physical aspects of the training. I send my sons to Dr. Kim because I know that they are receiving an exceptional education that public school alone does not provide. They are learning that all growth requires some amount of pain and that the more effort they apply to a problem the more successful they will be. Dr. Kim's Academy is refining their manhood.”
