Great food, great rooms, great location. The staff is amazing, and the entire property was beautiful and was relaxing to sit and relax.
The village of Paint Lick might be small, but the Denny House B & B is a fantastic treasure to spend a weekend!! The common areas are beautifully decorated with antiques and furnishings. In the dining area, you'll find ice and glasses for wine or bourbon and coffee or tea. As an added bonus, the owner has a brewery on site with some really great beer on tap!! We stayed in the Travelers Porch and absolutely loved it!! It had its own staircase and just a single full-size bed, but the porch was the star of the room! Out on the full room length porch was a bench and two chairs made from bourbon barrels. The breakfast that was served was delicious, and the eggs were fresh! Everything was perfect, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!
This is the best bed and breakfast in Kentucky ! I have been to more than a dozen bed and breakfasts and hands down the Denny house is the best ! The natural beauty, the peaceful setting and the delicious breakfast all make this place a must visit for those who visit Kentucky ! The innkeeper Vicky is so nice and personable. She made us feel so welcomed. I am a fan of eggs benedict, when I ate hers I almost started to cry ! The best ever ! The house is so cozy and well maintained. The location is very rural and quiet, so if you are looking for things to do and explore there is not anything in the small village of Paint Lick. Some really good restaurants are close by and scenic roads to get there. I We loved our stay !!
We spent the weekend in the Richmond, KY area visiting our son at EKU. While there, we stayed at the THE DENNY HOUSE. It was about 15 minutes from the campus out in the beautiful countryside and we felt right at home in the 1840's mansion. I highly recommend The Denny House to the other parents traveling to visit their kids at EKU or Berea. It was so pleasant, comfortable, affordable, clean, easy access, and the host was so easy-going and served the BEST breakfasts!
We made the Denny House a waypoint on our return trip home.
Absolutely gorgeous! Vicky was an extraordinary innkeeper, her breakfast was simply amazing. Definitely, we plan on staying at the Denny House again. 😊❤️
