“Where do I start… we went with Jacobs ladder for our roofing, siding AND gutters and we were not disappointed. Not only were they quick on the job, they were highly professional and made sure they cleaned up their work area like they had never been here. We financed and paid with cash and they were very helpful and patient in waiting for those funds to go through. We would highly recommend them to anyone around.”

“This Body Shop deserves 10 stars. I wrecked my vehicle on the 2nd of the month and they had it fixed and ready for pickup after having my car just 18 days. They are excellent workers. My Rogue looks better than it did the day i drove it off the car lot. Steve Himes is true gentleman and treats you with the upmost respect. He will get all my business and my family's business when it comes to auto body repairs.”

“The village of Paint Lick might be small, but the Denny House B & B is a fantastic treasure to spend a weekend!! The common areas are beautifully decorated with antiques and furnishings. In the dining area, you'll find ice and glasses for wine or bourbon and coffee or tea. As an added bonus, the owner has a brewery on site with some really great beer on tap!! We stayed in the Travelers Porch and absolutely loved it!! It had its own staircase and just a single full-size bed, but the porch was the star of the room! Out on the full room length porch was a bench and two chairs made from bourbon barrels. The breakfast that was served was delicious, and the eggs were fresh! Everything was perfect, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!”

“Used to go there instead of the Gorge. Of course this was the 80's When I was at EKU so it was less developed and we had the place to ourselves. An absolute gem of a place to do what you want with nobody around to tell you"don't do that" or "you can't fish, camp, drink, etc." Great fishing and climbing.”

“Friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed 2023 Memorial Day Weekend. You might have enjoyed the DJ at the pool more than we did but they shut down at 10 PM quiet hours. Nice pool. Like most campgrounds in the USA most campsites look to be permanent full time or seasonal residents. Still they made room for us over the holiday weekend. Full hookups but our sewer connection was 40 feet from the camper so my hoses didn't reach. Campground very far off the Interstate. Try to stay on the US Highways getting there. Google Maps led us on some County roads that were scary towing a travel trailer. Overall we were very pleased but probably too far off the Interstate for us to go there again. Oh, and there was a herd of goats on the road just outside the campground. Not an everyday sight, not loose roaming the roadside.”

“Best view from a grocery store in all of Kentucky! They even have some tables and chairs out so you can enjoy it. This isn't really a market, it's an experience, I might even say a destination. So, the directions to this place do involve, "turn off the paved road." But to me, that makes it all the better. It's owned by extremely friendly Amish. The store is neat, clean and very well organized. You can get a 3$ frozen Digiorno Pizza, 50 pounds of potatoes for 29.99, k cup Starbucks coffee, a Vick's vapo humidifier, propel water, Amish pickles, and a fresh tomatoes all in one place. I get the feeling you can always find the Amish goods and the rest, you just have to come and see what's there. They even have light bulbs... Despite the fact they don't use them. Look close, those aren't lights on the ceiling. They are battery operated lanterns. I'm telling you, you just have to go see it. They take checks and cash only so hit the ATM before you journey out. I drove by this place 50 times before I stopped. I wish had done it sooner. It's not far off the road, easy parking, fast check out, and honestly I bet I can find what I need or something close to it about everytime.”
