We stayed at this park to go see The Ark and Creation Museum. We have a 40 ft fifth wheel. It is such a pretty park. Very large trees with lots of shade. Level gravel pads. Park owners were very friendly. Some road noise but was not a problem for us! There is also a train close by but again, not a problem! I loved it! Did I mention wonderful shade! I’d stay here again in a blink. Laundry very clean! 10 miles from the Ark and 30 miles from the museum!
We stayed there for Eight days. Nice place and nice people to deal with. While there my wife was hospitalized and we weren't sure for how long. The nice man on the golf cart said to not worry about it and to stay as long as necessary. When my wife got out of the hospital we settled up with them then. Very Nice place and the hosts were more than gracious serving our every need. They even volunteered to check on our small dog while I was at the hospital with my wife.
I feel I have to give this place a 5 Star to correct others giving this place an unfair 1 Star. This is a great little campground. I love the fact it is a true campground not a place full of people living here year round. The grounds are kept very nice and tidy. The pond is a nice place to go for a walk with the dogs and cast a fishing rod. There is a small dated playground but at least it is somewhere for the kids to play. The desk person was extremely nice as was the person who escorted us to the campsite. The sites are fairly level and rain drainage is great considering it has been raining for days there are no puddles to deal with. The laundry room was clean and had 5 washers and very fast drying vintage dryers. The bathhouse was extremely clean and in good working order.
The key elements to a campground were met: clean, safe, level, good power, good water pressure, clean laundry room, clean bathhouse and a VERY reasonable price for water/electric.
Now the downside is the train. It is about 50 yards from our site (we were 1 of the closest sites). However, we use the fan all night and keep the windows closed, so it drowns out the noise. But if you are a light sleeper or in a pop up/canvas sided camper you may have issues.
The highway is close as well so you do hear the highway but only when outside walking around. For us that is a non issue.
It is easy on and off the highway and gas stations nearby which makes it a great stop over place for a few days to visit the area and the Ark. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.
The location is fantastic to be able to get to Cincinnati and Louisville. The campground is nice. The bathrooms are nice as well. They are clean and well kept. The staff is great as well. The pond is also a very nice feature. The only downside is that there are limited full hook up sites and it is located right next to the highway and train tracks. So unless you have a hard sided camper with its air conditioning running all night you get woken up every two hours from the train whistle and/or highway noise. So you have to determine what's important to you. 5 stars for what the campground can control, 2 stars for what they can't.
This was a very cozy little spot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They mentioned they took over the place about 4-5 months ago. The kids really enjoyed the fishing pond, playground and 9ft pool!!! The bath house was clean and landscaping was up kept and looking very beautiful. We just needs a place to stay while we went to visit the new Ark Encounter that just opened up 12 min away, and the site we stayed at was a great pull through one and made it easy to hook up and unhook and get going. The train was close, but didn't bother us one bit. I have 6 kids ages 10-1 and it didn't wake them. The only down side is the sites are close to each other (not as bad as some we've been to). I give them a 4.5 star and would recommend this spot.
