“I was In Louisville from Ga. driving a 07 Honda Pilot that had developed a severe gas leak. I stopped at the first place I passed, it being Thoroughbred Automotive. I didn’t ask the man his name but wish I had. We both thought it was a gas line. I asked if he could fix it quick. He said not quick but tomorrow. The next day he called around lunch and said something had punctured my tank and since Pilots had plastic tanks it would have to be replaced instead of repaired and he had a used one on the way. I had just filled up before the leak and he had put a pan under it to catch my gas. At 5:15 pm that evening he called and said it was done. I showed up to get it and there laid my old tank so I could see the damage. He strained the leaked gas, saving it, drained the other tank and even took my vehicle to the gas station and topped it off for me. This man is quick, very honest and was very much a pleasure to meet and work with. I was skeptical about pricing me being from out of town and more or less an emergency case but he was very reasonably priced. I am very happy with the work and his honesty. Thoroughbred Automotive and the owner are both gems. Highly recommended by me, I only wish he was in my hometown. 💎I’ve read other reviews that say the guy is cranky over the phone but he’s very busy and as far as I am aware he answers his own phone so I completely understand I can deal with cranky much better than someone nice that rips me off.”

“Love this location!! I usually rental 1-2 times a year and I have never had issues. They are always polite and quick with checking out the cars as well as returning them. There have been times I have shower up early to pick up and called to tell them I was running late to return and they never gave me any problems. Cars are always clean. And I usually have my deposit back within 24hrs. The longest I waited was 48hrs.”

“The work at American Brake Center has been excellent. I have 4 cars serviced at American Brake Center. They do great work. Their prices are very competitive with other places. Scott and his crew of mechanics have done great work on all my cars. Scott always lets me know what needs to be done immediately and what is coming down the line in terms of repairs. He has also helped me in buying two cars for my daughters. He and his mechanics inspected the cars and let me know what kind of shape they were in. This was so helpful for me in feeling comfortable in assisting my daughters get good, reliable cars. I would highly recommend this shop for good, honest, and efficient work on any type of car!”
