Pastor is very intelligent, congragation is very welcoming. I love this place
A place
OK
This is a faithful body of Christian men and women that have been a light in Louisville for decades. Even at a time when the churches in the city were “all alike gone astray,” Kosmosdale remained one of the few that continued to preach the gospel undefiled. Such men have pastored it as C. Ben Mitchell, David Dockery, Tom Nettles, and Jim Orrick. The current preaching-pastor is Mitch Chase, author of *Behold our Sovereign God* and the commentary on Daniel in the ESV commentary series. Men that have attended include Shawn Wright, Ben Merkle (author of the exegetical commentary on the Greek of Ephesians and prof at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary), and Andrew Lindsey (popular in social media and author of an introductory biography of Martin Luther). With a line up like that, one would assume that the church was large and impersonal, but the reality is that it is a fairly small church (under a hundred) that is very close-knit AND welcoming (you don’t always find both in a small church). If you’re looking for a place where people are both serious about the Word of God and serious about loving their neighbor as themselves, you would be hard-pressed to find another.
Great local church. The worship is fantastic and the preaching is passionately and faithfully given. The church is also very welcoming and hospitable.
