We arrived about half an hour before sunset and the shortest hike to the top is apprx 0.8 miles. I am thankful for this short but semi-hard path, we made it in time to view the sunset.
Worth the visit.
Absolutely beautiful . The trail is slightly difficult , but anyone can reach the top . Slowly or briskly , so worth the hike !
This was an absolutely beautiful hike! I didn't get to see the west pinnacles, but eagles nest, and the east pinnacles of were totally worth it. The hike up the Indian Fort was only 0.3 miles but it was very steep and Rocky. So make sure you're prepared for all the ups and downs and rockiness. Everyone we ran into was really nice.
Well worth the hike of 1000 plus elevation gain. Recommend to also see the East and West Pinnacles, and Eagles Nest and Buzzards Roost as well! Definitely a several day experience.
Very nice place. Plenty of parking . Nice facilities. Very clean. First part of the trails are paved. Trails are clean. I found the trails to east pinnacles and to eagle's nest. Then around to Indian lookout rather easy. There is a lot of up hill hiking. So could be difficult if you are out of shape. Lot of beautiful views. The trail around to weather pinnacle is difficult. Lot of rocks and climbing. To get on top of west pinnacle. You have to climb up a rock witch I did not do.
But love my day on the trails. I did over 7 miles that day. I will be back.
