I really enjoyed the tour of this beautiful old home and learning the history behind it, as well as the connection to Stephen Foster. The family history was fascinating and our two tour guides were well informed and made the history come alive.
We visited once on the beginning of our trip out west and actually liked it so much we planned a return visit on our way back home. The campground is small and some of the hookups are oddly placed but we really enjoyed how quiet it was. You are out in the woods and it's quiet. The bath house was clean and well kept. If you struggle to use boards to level I would not recommend for just any site. If you are used to setting up on somewhat uneven surfaces you'll be fine. If you don't see much unpaved or manicured campgrounds you might want to pass. We have a 33ft 5th wheel for reference and I'm happy to answer questions.
The Stephen foster story was such a good experience. I would recommend seeing it. I'm going back
Sites were roomy enough for our pop up. We also bring a screen tent and that had plenty of room. Our site was near the bathroom and had a few trees we used for hammocks for the first time. Kids loved them.
The bathrooms could use some help. The ceiling is being held up by pipes in some places.
