I've visited Rabbit Creek Bed and Breakfast twice now and can't wait to go back a third time! The surroundings are beautiful, the hospitality is outstanding, the rooms are perfect and so is the delicious breakfast. You couldn't ask for a better or more comfortable
and safe B & B. Absolutely perfect!
I love Glenda and Herb at Rabbit Creek Bed & Breakfast. I stay at Rabbit Creek about five weeks per year while I’m in Lexington for the Keeneland Thoroughbred Auction. I’m on the auction staff there. I’ve been coming back to Rabbit Creek for about nine years now.
Herb and Glenda are wonderful hosts. Lovely spacious home (10,000 sq ft) beautiful grounds and all the amenities to make my time away from home feel like home. Their breakfasts are wonderful and our visits and conversations are memorable. I introduce myself to the other guests as “the third son”.
Rabbit Creek will always be my go-to place to rest, relax and enjoy my time in the Versailles/ Lexington area.
It’s the perfect place to stay if you’re in the area for the Bourbon Trail as well.
My family and I had truly a wonderful experience here. Herb made sure we were comfortable from beginning to end. The home and surrounding grounds are just lovely, a treat for the eyes and the soul. Quiet, comfortable, and inviting, the home itself is hand built, and well loved, and you can feel the love when you're there. We feel like we really made a friend in Herb, and Glenda was just great in taking our booking, and keeping in contact with us the day we checked in. She even went as far as calling us to see how far out we were, because she had an errand to run, and was going to schedule the errand around our arrival time, so she wouldn't miss us. The next time we visit Kentucky, there is no question where we will be staying. Truly good, deep, and meaningful conversations with Herb every morning helped to start what would be stressful days, with good fellowship, and hearty companionship. So much so, that on our last day, we missed him at breakfast, and we felt the loss of our morning talks. I highly suggest that if you are in the area, and need a place to stay, please give Herb and Glenda a call.
It was like being part of the family. The rooms were nice - clean and spacious- but if that is all you are after you can stay in a hotel. One of the benefits of a B&B is the people (okay, the breakfast as well - which in itself was quite nice), but the best part by far was Glenda and Herb - I've never had such nice hosts - it was like being welcomed by your grand-parents (not your parents, because they would make you do chores). Quiet evenings sitting in the living room with them and their actual family was a highlight of our visit, surpassed only by Herb taking us next door to watch the foals come out to pasture - a trip to Kentucky would not be complete without horses. They are centrally located to several Bourbon Distilleries as well, and we used them as our base of operations for trips all over Kentucky. They are out in the country so don't expect to walk down to the pub for a pint - but being in the country is the experience.
I definitely recommend them and will be back if we get a chance.
