“Just happened to come across this place, and we were definitely glad we did. It is off the beaten path for sure but worth the short drive out to it. I would recommend calling first or making a reservation because there was an hour and a half wait by the time we left. Our waitress was great. She gave us a rundown of the place and the menu. All fresh, local, homemade food.. and everything tasted excellent. We had an appetizer of Crawfish "cakes" over fried green tomatoes. We tried the catfish bite poor boy sandwich, and the Stave burger with pimento cheese.. both were very flavorful. And then.. the bread pudding. Just yum! Definitely recommend!”

Everything explained to me felt like a cool mystery being unraveled in a documentary! * Honestly, even being without dental insurance currently, the way they have their itemized breakdown and spacing out of cost of procedures relinquished any financial stress I had. * I mean YEAH it can add up over time, BUT the way they treat you so so earnestly, and how valuable GOOD HEALTH is right now in a pandemic, I'd rather be alive as a good spending healthy teeth patient instead of being an unhealthy Covid patient possibly dying and putting my family in debt. “Our son got married at the vintage barn at midway, (gorgeous venue for a wedding by the way) which is a 10 minute drive from this quiet, secluded, beautiful slice of heaven! Amy and Mike are the most gracious and caring hosts that you will find....period! We relaxed literally sitting on chairs right in the middle of the elkhorn river, (and caught a few small mouth bass) and the peace and quite was surreal!! The cabin/house was clean and accommodating and very comfortable! I'd be very upset if i needed to stay in midway again and it was already booked!!!”
