“When i stayed it was during a bad snow storm. Giving my hubby was walking with his cane, we noticed that the sidewalk wasn't shoveled. First time there we had no clue where the entrance was until we happen to see someone come out the door. Almost slipped 2xs just trying to hold our bags, plus make sure he didn't fall. After checking in when we got to our room, everything was better from there. The room was amazing. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need besides the food. The shower was amazing.. And spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The location is prime as well because it's literally 10 mins or less from restaurants. They have a pool as well. We didn't get to take a dip. Hubby loved the outside firepit area and it had containers for smokers. They also had grills that you could use (weather permitting). We definitely enjoyed our stay overall. A little higher than what we usually pay but for a short notice.. It was worth it.”

“I had a great experience here with Dion Hicks. He helped me and my partner pick out our new bed. He was the most knowledge person about mattresses and sleep. I was really impressed by how well he explained the different types of mattresses to us and he took his time to show us all the different types. He even gave us a demonstration on the bed we decided to get where he showed us the different positions and put us in the zero gravity mode which I really liked. He was also clear with pricing which was really helpful. I can’t wait to have my new bed!”

“My wife and I were in the neighborhood of Engine Co. # 17 so I thought I'd stop by. I was invited inside as was my wife. I couldn't have been treated more graciously. These men and woman treated me with the utmost respect and kindness you could imagine. The officer, Sgt. and firefighters treated me like a long lost son. I felt right at home. It was almost as if I had never left! They wanted to hear my old war stories. They didn't rush me out the door. Instead they wanted to hear what I had to say. They were the sweetest, kindest, most wonderful firefighters you could ever want to meet! This was Platoon #2. I told them that my first day in the fire department was July 20, 1969. It was the day Neil Armstrong walked on the Moon. They wanted to know all about me. But that's not the end of the story. They gave me the grand tour. I showed them where my old bed was. I walked up the front stairs and down the back spiral staircase. I was home again! They made it happen! Don't ever let anybody tell you that you can't go home again because you can. I did. But the story doesn't end there. One of the firefighters leaves the kitchen table and comes back with an old log book. Lo' and behold there it was! The logbook with my first day in the fire department! I couldn't believe my crying eyes. my wife was with me and she was shocked. Not only that, but they GAVE me that old logbook! I couldn't believe it! I was overtaken with emotion! This group of firefighters at Eng. Co. #17, Platoon #2 are wonderful folks! I love them! They treated my wife and me like family! I was home again! Thanks folks! I'll be 72 Feb. 7th. What a wonderful birthday! THANKS FIREFIGHTERS FOR MAKING MY DAY!!!”
