“Since Principal Stevens was hired WHS has become a much more stable and safe learning environment for teachers and students. A previous poster mentioned WHS didn't have many students, and that comment is totally false because WHS has 1,100 students. A previous poster compared the school to his 2006 experience most logical people understand schools change over 12 years. Like all large public schools with students from many diverse backgrounds the school has it's challenges, but overall it is making progress. Here are a few of Woodlawn High School's recent achievements. -Jazz Band 3 straight years of Superior ratings at Loyola Jazz festival (arguably toughest Jazz competition in America). -Prostart cooking/cuisine National teacher of the year Chef Oubre. -FCS club (Fellowship of Christian Students) fundraised $7,000 to build a fresh water well for a needy village in Swaziland Africa -Boys Soccer two straight State semifinals appearances -Football 5 straight playoff appearances”

“Both of my children are Alumni of the Academy. As infants, Trinity provided the nurturing my children needed. As toddlers, they offered a structured, safe, and loving environment for my children to learn. The nurturing never stopped. The owner is like none other. The expectation of her teachers is realistic, yet high and demanded. For example, cell phone use is not allowed while on duty. How can you watch our students. while on your cell phone? You can’t. It only takes 1 second for an accident to happen. Do not let it be because a teacher was on a cell phone. The teachers as well as the students are monitored through out the day. I know this information because I did my part as a parent. I asked questions, made pop up visits, and volunteered. Education is a priority. The tuition is very reasonable. For the environment, quality of eduction, and delicious home cooked meals, I would have paid whatever amount was asked. My children are excellent students in the Central Community School System. It’s because of the foundation laid at Trinity!!!!!! Forever grateful, Patricia G.”
