During the weekend, there are exhibits of fire shot and war hospital. Very interesting for everybody, even in family
Great historical site. Easy trails, even for a novice such as myself. Only disappointment was trails were not greatly marked, and the map was a bit confusing at first. I would personally recommend a hiking app of some sort also and use the map as a back up.
Well maintained historical site. Trails well marked and clean. Easy walk with some hills. Lots of artifacts and replicas in museum
Very knowledgeable staff. Great for field trips. If you can make it to a reenactment or other event that is when the experience is the best.
The docent was super knowledgeable in the Battle of Port Hudson details. I enjoyed our excellent afternoon spent learning about our history and hiking the trails.
