After visiting several car dealerships, as I had with prior purchases, I decided to try CarMax. I couldn't be more pleased. Everyone was cordial, the showroom was spacious and up-to-date, and my wife and I were encouraged to walk around the lot (unaccompanied) at our leisure to review the selection of different makes and models. We then were invited to look on the website to see other copies of the car we were interested in, which were located on other CarMax lots. We found one and then paid to have it brought to our location. The only cost was the cost of transport and we were not obliged to purchase. Ultimately, we did, and were very happy with our selection and the service we received. throughout, there was no pressure to buy. I have encouraged my friends to consider CarMax for their next car purchase, I know I will.

We were pleased that they transferred a vehicle from MD to Albany for a very reasonable price. Also we were pleased with the trade in deal. Staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the day we picked up the vehicle we were at CarMax for 4 hrs. This was an excessive amount of time to close this deal since we had a verified trade in and a quote for the vehicle. Also, during the test drive, the check engine light came on. So they took a day to fix it, but on the drive home (3 hrs), the check engine light came on after 2 hrs. CarMax is working with a local dealer to remedy this, time will tell since we have to wait for our local dealer to diagnose the problem.

This is my first time doing anything like this and I was very nervous. From my interactions with service reps over the phone to my in store experience, I was met with friendly and professional conduct. They put me at ease and made the whole process painless. I think it took me an hour to complete the sale of my car, from start to finish, and I had a check in hand when I left. I am a very satisfied customer.

Although I picked CarMax to purchase a family vehicle, I wasn't as pleased at the beginning considering I wasn't informed (until I made several attempts to transfer the vehicle we wanted) on their encrypt secure link for online purchases....that they DO NOT accept "credit karma debit card". A week later after transferring money from one account to another, I finally was able to pay for the transfer and get the vehicle we wanted sent to our closet location! So I guess what I'm trying to say is other than that little issue at the beginning we had, which should have been "no hassle", CarMax is not as bad as other people state that they are or as the reviews read! I am very pleased with the vehicle that we purchased! Would recommend a friend/family. Thank you CarMax! 😁

CarMax provided me excellent service. Unlike other local car dealerships, they were able to make good on their promise of securing me a car loan that was reasonable. I did the whole process online and even changed my mind on the model of car which was accommodated with no issues. I would recommend CarMax to anyone looking for their next car!
