“I'm currently a student with the Flight Club, I really enjoy working with Michael, his instruction style is a good mix between making sure that things are done properly but also wants you to enjoy your time in the air. In terms of price for my personal situation the flight club was the most economical option for a part 61 license. If you like the college setting more then I would check out other schools but if you're more of a one on one with your instructor type then this is a really good option.”

Healthcare Educators AW

University School

“I'm currently a student at A & W Healthcare Educators, and it is an EXCELLENT program! Yes, you do have to pay out of pocket for pre reqs, and they do not allow you to use your financial aid. This is because the school doesn't want you to run out of financial aid money while your taking your classes in the actual program. The federal government only allows you a certain amount of money during a specific time period and the program is expensive. It is well worth the investment. I graduated top of my class from a very competitive all girl catholic new orleans high school, and I must say that I have never been pushed academically as hard as I have been pushed here at A & W Healthcare Educators LPN program. YES, they do expect a lot of you, and people who can not take the pressure will fold and drop out. That's why everyone who passes the 3 pre req classes and is approved by the nursing state boards for admission is accepted into their program. They know that they might start out with 40 but due to problems academically, family life, financially etc people will drop out one by one. The Williams are EXTREMELY helpful and willing to work with you, but they have to see that you are placing in the time and effort. They are not going to bend over backwards and help someone who they know are not going to pass the state boards at the end of the program to become a nurse. That would be a waste of your time and money if they did. This is their NAME you are representing as a student, and they have a 100% passing rate on state boards since they have been open. I'm not going to lie to you this program is HARD. You will have to give up and sacrifice time with family, children, and work. I cry at least once a week, because I feel as though their is not enough time in the world to accomplish everything that they expect from us, but as the old saying goes "Anything in life worth having is worth fighting for." They push you for two reason: 1) They want to see you pass boards and become a nurse. 2) A nurse is NOT an EASY job. Contrary to the idea that you have in your head times it by a 100. It drains you mentally and physically. They are pushing you to see if you are going to woman/man up when times get hard and do what you have to do for your patient, or are you going to give up and throw in the towel. You may be able to give up in school, but when it comes to a HUMAN LIFE giving up is NOT AN OPTION! Many people feel as though just because this is a black owned nursing school that you're suppose to get "THE HOOK UP" and they're suppose to pass you. If you have that idea then this is not the nursing school for you, but if you want a nursing school who will push you and by the time you graduate you will be more than ready for state boards and to enter an RN program then I HIGHLY SUGGEST you attend A &W Healthcare Educators. This was the best investment and decision I've ever made for my future. Many of "our people" are willing to buy a brand new car, hand bag, clothes, or Jordans but think twice about investing the same type of money into their education. Material items depreciate in value as soon as you buy them, but a QUALITY EDUCATION last a lifetime! Future Nurse ”
