“My family had moved from Dallas right after the JFK tragedy & and I began @ St. Stephen's. I remember Sister Malachi, Sister Helen & the beautiful church layout.. We lived on Magazine st..& as I recall the school was just around the corner.. From our upstairs apt. I'd turn right, then walk two-,three blocks ...where there, to my left, lay the best little parochial experience in the world-! Of course I'm much older now (69) so if anyone out there could help in proving/ disproving the belief that our Longterm memory improves with age...I'd surely love to hear about it...Fondly”

“If it were possible, I’d give this place 100 out of 5 stars! I’ve been in New Orleans for 3 years and in my opinion, this school is the best place in town! And I don’t mean just daycare. I mean it is the best thing I have encountered in this town! I’m the type where I don’t trust my kids with anyone, even leaving them with family has me on edge. I started my two boys in full time daycare here recently and I feel confident that it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! My kids primarily are with Mrs. Areli, Mrs. Aneesha and Mrs. Terri and there are not enough word in the English language to sing their praises! I feel like they truly love my kids, love what they do and are all around amazing people! I’m honestly sad I didn’t find this place sooner and and devastated that we’re moving out of state in March and have to leave them. My childcare standards will forever be held to their level and I worry I may not find such amazing people to care for my kids when we move.”

“I was just beginning my road trip when I decided before I went on my way, I would stop by a local Baptist church to praise our savior, Jesus Christ. I’m sure glad I did because every single staff and member made me truly feel as though I was a part of their church community. Chad, the pastor, saw me sitting by myself and introduced himself to me and we had a nice conversation and it turns out he knew one of the pastors at my home church. (Small world!) Afterwards, I attended a Bible study class and while it wasn’t as big as my own (This class had about 12 people while my own class has over 70 weekly), I was able to be more confident and spoke up. It was a great discussion. I highly recommend this church to anybody looking for a warm, loving, community that loves God. Even if you’re passing through (like I did), check out the service before leaving New Orleans. You won’t regret it! I’m recommending all my friends and everybody at Houston’s First to come here as their church away from their home church. Lord, bless Chad and this Church and it’s members!”
