Cypress Cove Lodge

Very basic rooms, but friendly service. There is a small store on the first floor with fishing essentials (and bags). An upgrade from most fishing camps I'm used to. Great if you have a charter leaving from the cypress cove marina.

Have stayed here 3 times all fit a fishing trip. First year there was no fridge. Second year read fine. Just recently as 23 July 2021 the first room, a toilet was squeaking so loud even with the door closed you could hear it. Tried fixing it ourselves and didn't work. Would have to pull toilet handle up and jiggle it multiple times. Moved rooms and it was decent. Shower isn't great. But there is a store on the first level that has a little food and a lot of drinks and some shirts and hats. Has 2 fish cleaning stations and a place to hang your fish and take pictures. Can't get much better where it's located in my mind. Marina bar next door with great food and can cook your caught fish if you'd like. For what this place is DESIGNED for and it's LOCATION, devoutly 4 star. If this was in the city it would be a different story. Keep it real.

Absolutely loved our trip down to Venice Louisiana. Cypress cove lodge staff was extremely helpful for first time Louisiana fishers. The rooms was very clean.
