Very unusual menu! Great job reflecting the food scene in LA. I had fried seafood sampler and husband had pecan crusted fish. Husband loved the beer. Would definitely return!
We were driving through and decided to have a quick meal. The hamburgers were so tasty. The waitress who waited on us was very attentive and helpful in deciding what to have since this was our first time to visit.
3-17-2023 This has become my usual Friday spot. Good music, good food... and mostly good service. Changed it up tonight for Lent and had the combination catfish and shrimp poboy... added Swiss and onions. It did not disappoint! They probably want me to leave, as I often dine here alone to hear the music... but so far I've never felt rushed regardless of the waitlist and wait time. One last oddity is that when the owner greets guests... he always skips me...hmmmm.
2-4-23 Been a few times again and tried the Reuben sandwich... while it was great, went back to my Gouda Burger with added bacon. I also added avocado... and I believe I have my go-to Abita Brew Pub order. When the music is right... there's no better place to be!
1-7-2023 Back again... and tried the Gouda burger again... just to be sure it wasn't a fluke... added bacon, and it did not disappoint. Cooked perfectly to my order. On other visits, I had the seafood plate and the stuffed boudin quail. Everything is great here!
12-3-2022 Always great music and I'm surprised how few people recognize the talent that plays here. Got the Gouda burger tonight, and while I've had burgers here before... this one was the best so far. Not so much due to the gouda... but more to the fact that it was cooked perfectly! A burger should stand out due to the actual burger patty... and this time it did! Great job!
9-2-2022 Came for the music but had a great dinner. Decided on the fish tacos after the bartender's recommendation and it did not disappoint. Clean refreshing flavor with crunchy slaw and crispy blackened Mahi Mahi. Oh... the music was top notch too!
Previously... Stopped in for some music and a killer burger, but the music apparently didn't show up. Still had the actual Killer Burger and it was pretty good. Not cooked medium as ordered but still tasty. Service was super friendly and can't wait to go back... I'll just call first to confirm the music is actually playing! (Technically not their fault.)
This is such a cool place and the beers and hard sodas were remarkable. The Triple IPA was hubs fave. My suggestion is to start with a flight.
Desi made us feel like we were a guest in her house. She was super knowledgeable about their offerings, and there were plenty of interesting things to try.
Loved the quaintness of the place. The patio was shaded and has giant fans and misters doing their job and keeping it comfortable, It was very comfortable, even on a hot day.
Service was good and there's a nice selection of beers and cocktails to choose from. Meal menu gives great choices as well. With all the burgers, poboys, salads, pastas and daily specials, It was hard to choose!!
Food was good, but for me it needed a little more seasoning, but the portions were very fair. We will definitely be back on our next visit.
