Great little convenience store with cooked food to go, very nice service

Okay so this place is like a straight hole in the wall type place right? However, they have very good Fried Chicken and potentially the best Shrimp Boudain i've ever had. The Boudin was incredible. Nice snap on the outside and the inside was so creamy and flavorful. Anytime i'm in this area again I will absolutely be back in to visit the sweet old lady making all of this fantastic food.

Pulled in to the parking to look for a lunch place, and noticed the window signs advertising fried checken and other food. From outside it just looks like a convenience store and gas station, but inside there is a hot lunch counter. They serve a variety of fresh, hot foods: fried fish, fried chicken, BBQ chicken, hamburgers, and side dishes (generous corn bread squares, lima beans, jambalaya, cooked greens, etc.). They have nice tables inside and the bathroom is impressively clean for a roadside place. Soft drinks and iced tea (both sweetened and unsweetened). They are right at Lake Road and Highway 190, entrance to the fishing area of Big Branch Marsh. Friendly, easy-going staff.
