Top Parks in Anne arundel county, Maryland, United states

Mayo Beach Park

Address: 4150 Honeysuckle Dr, Edgewater, MD 21037, USA

Park

“Free park that is only open on sundays and some holiday Mondays . Can kayak, sup there. No food or grilling so have to bring food. Open 11-5. Have beautiful mini beaches with shallow water that's perfect for small children. There are picnic tables but have to get there early. Park often reaches capacity in afternoon so I suggest getting there before 12.”

Beverly Triton Beach Park

Address: 1202 Triton Beach Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037, USA

“A nice place but make sure you bring bug spray as it's a bit swampy and that means mosquitos. The loop around the water was recently updated but it seems they removed the owl box that was on the pond trail? :(”

Edgewater Dog Park

Address: 3399-3361 Glebe Heights Dr, Edgewater, MD 21037, USA

Park

“Nice having another dog park option, and it's free. County could empty the waste bins a bit more frequently, especially in summer, and the water well is cut off based on a date, not temperature so it's off even in 50 degree weather if it's November. Can be pretty muddy but it was a rainy year. Biggest complaint is inattentive dog owners, but that's all dog parks I suppose, not this particular location.”

Loch Haven Park

“I had the best experience with Lakemont. It is a beautiful cemetery and I found it wasn't more expensive than others that were less appealing. The consistent impeccable service I received from Kim there was possibly the best customer service I have ever experienced. I could not recommend Lakemont more highly.”

Wooton's Landing Wetland Park

Address: 4550 Sands Rd, Harwood, MD 20776, USA

Park Zoo

“Great place to fish or just have a picnic. There is a portable toilet. Very clean and family friendly. I recommend stopping by if your in the Waysons Corner area. Grab a fishing pole, bait and lunch at the gas station right there. Great for a quick local getaway.”

Sands Road Park

Address: 4900 Sands Rd, Harwood, MD 20776, USA

Zoo Park

“This under used park is an excellent birding spot. It's essentially a large field surrounded by woods. When the field has been mowed, it's fairly easy going, but it can be a little demanding when the grass is high. Boots and bug juice are helpful. There are a couple of basketball courts, but no other facilities. I haven't spent much time here in the Winter months, but Spring, Summer and Fall can be rewarding. It's reliable for Meadowlarks, Chats, Sparrows, Harriers, Prairie Warblers, Indigo Buntings, Common Yellowthroats and Grosbeaks. Friends tell me they find many more species. It's only a mile or so from Wooton's Landing, and I often combine visits to both places in a single outing.”
